Dear Sir/Madam,

In accordance with Article R. 582-2 of the French Code on the Entry and Residence of Foreigners and the Right of Asylum (CESEDA), you will have a secure personal online account, accessible from the OFPRA website:

www.ofpra.gouv.fr.

This account guarantees the confidentiality of the data transmitted and the traceability of the procedure.

It will allow you to be notified of any summons to a personal interview at OFPRA, as well as the decision on your application for statelessness. Other documents relating to your case may also be uploaded to this account.

You will be able to activate your online account within 24 hours of OFPRA processing your application for statelessness.

 For this first connection, you will need the following two numbers:

Your stateless person number, which you will receive by email after submitting your application. This will be a 10-digit number starting with 98;

Your username, which you will receive via SMS after submitting your application.

When you first log in, you will be asked to create a password to access your online account. Your username and password are strictly personal. Keep them secure throughout the entire application process and do not disclose them to anyone.

After activating your account, you will receive a notification via SMS and/or email when an interview invitation or OFPRA decision is available.

To track the status of your application, we recommend checking your online account at least once every two weeks.

If you do not review these documents within fifteen days, they will be considered served from the date they appear in your online account.

APPLICATION FOR STATELESS STATUS - LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

After submitting your application for statelessness, we ask that you mail the following documents to OFPRA within 21 days:

x - the attached registration form, dated and signed, with all sections completed; please include your email address and mobile phone number, as these are required for the application;

x.x - two recent passport-size photographs taken full-face (with your full name and date of birth on the back);

x.x - a detailed personal statement in French explaining the reasons for your application;

x.x - proof of residence.

We would also appreciate it if you could provide us with the following documents in your possession:

x - Original copies of all your identity documents, travel documents, and civil status documents, as well as certified translations (passport, ID card, residence permit, pass, safe conduct, etc.);

x - Original copies of all your civil status documents, as well as certified translations (birth certificate issued less than three months ago, marriage certificate, family register, etc.);

x - Photocopies of identity documents and civil status documents of your family members, indicating the degree of relationship;

x - Any documents, evidence, or confirmation of steps you have taken regarding your administrative situation.

Application for Statelessness Status

The questions on this form are asked in accordance with the provisions of the New York Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons of September 28, 1954. Responses are confidential in accordance with the provisions of the Code on the Entry, Residence, and Right of Asylum of Aliens (CESEDA).

This form must be completed in French and signed. Please attach the following documents:
* A recent passport-size photograph, without a hat, against a light background, 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm;
* A photocopy of your current residence permit, if available;
* The originals of your travel documents (passport, safe conduct, consular laissez-passer, etc.), including for minors under 16;
* The originals of all your identity and civil status documents and their certified translations (ID cards, birth and marriage certificates, family registers, etc.);
* A photocopy of the residence permits of family members recognized as stateless by the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons (OFPRA), indicating the degree of relationship;
* The originals of documents confirming your statelessness.

You can add any original documents that may be useful for the consideration of your case.

Cooperation
